Source - Insurance reimbursement for telemedicine appointments will continue to expand on the state level. Legislation initiatives have started this past year, and will continue to develop into 2016.
Source - Accountable care organizations (ACOs) are expected to use telemedicine to improve patient care quality, as well as decrease costs and add patients to the program.
Source - Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services expects to incorporate 30 percent of telemedicine fee-for-service patients by the end of 2016.
Source - Facilities will make a significant effort to collaborate with hospitals, local providers and pharmacies to allow for accessible healthcare.
Source - Roughly 35 percent of employers have implemented telemedicine as an on-site option, and 12 percent more are planning to implement the setup in 2016-2017.
